Ameena Blake taking us on a journey in this video to embrace the meaning of Al Fatiha with patience and learn how marvelous its meanings are and discover the elements it carries within its words.
When we were brought up as Muslim children, or even when some of us were new Muslims who reverted to Islam, there was one important Surah that we started to learn. This surah is very important and is even the first one to encounter when we open the holy Quran, it is surah Al Fatiha.
Al Fatiha is the beginning of the “Mushaf,” the Muslims’ holy book and is even called “the mother of the Quran,” which means that it is the Quran's origin. Al Fatiha has a great place in the muslim’s daily life as we have to recite it in the five prayers each day in each and every raka’a, about seventeen time each day! And prophet Muhammed - peace be upon him- informed us that without reading Al Fatiha in our prayers, the salah can’t be correct and will be considered void.
Ameena Blake is taking us on a journey in this video asking us to embrace the meaning of Al Fatiha with patience and learn how marvelous its meanings are and discover the elements that it carries within its words. Understanding the elements will help us to get an introduction to the holy quran as it has the foundations that we really need to know to be able to navigate through it.
