So, the next time you rush through reading Al Fatihah, remember that you are in a conversation with Allah, and who would ever rush in a conversation with the Almighty?
Does Allah listen to us? Does he answer us when we speak to him? What does he say when we have a conversation with him and which conversations do he really reply to and answer?
In this video, Ameena Blake teaches us the fundamentals of having a proper conversation with Allah. Is it difficult? Did we ever speak with Allah? Well, actually we do at least seventeen times every day in our prayers through surah Al Fatihah! Yes, it is our part of the conversation and Allah -subhanahu wa ta’ala- responds to every ayah of it. Ameena takes us step by step and introduces us to what Allah says and how he replies. She helps us to imagine how when we recite al fatiha in our prayers Allah -subhanahu wa ta’ala- is there listening and responding. She divides the “salah” prayer into parts and explains what every part means and resembles and how each and every line emphasizes something different from the following line. Some people read Al Fatiha so quickly when the right thing is to slow down and feel each and every line and sense Allah’s response to us after each ayah. So, the next time you rush through reading Al Fatihah, remember that you are in a conversation with Allah, and who would ever rush in a conversation with the Almighty?
